stein dive centre snakelock anemone

Skye, 4th-10th April 2009

Sometimes you are lucky with an early season trip and sometimes not, we have had tropical sunshine in March, but this time it was not to be - wind and rain were the theme for this holiday.

Nevertheless we managed 9 out of 10 planned dives (although some sensible people took a day or two off) and burned a lot of driftwood to keep us warm after a long day on the boat. You can really appreciate a log fire after a cold day diving ;-)

Highlights included the spectacular night dive on the Lochbay pinnacle and the (sadly) rare sight of giant crayfish.

It was pretty and pleasant underwater, bleak and magnificent above under the shadow of the Cuillin, we just wished it had been a bit more sunny :-).

Take a look at the gallery!
