St Abbs, 29th-31st May 2010 (Late May Bank Holiday)

A good start for this weekend, but dashed on the rocks of windy weather.

Saturday was calm and all 24divers managed dives in our favourite spots, visibility was fair and wildlife in abundance including wolf fish, lump suckers and anglerfish. We even had a BBQ in the evening, burned sausages and all.

Sunday was lost to gales and rain, but we made the most of it with a trip to go sightseeing (and shopping) in Edinburgh for some while others went rock-pooling or watched the F1 grand-prix and the tennis open from the comfort of our caravans. Despite staying warm and doing no exercise at all, Lee's mountain of pasta bolognese was consumed eagerly by all.

With sunshine on Monday we had hopes of more diving, but the waves were still too high, although we did get 10 people out in the RHIB for a fun ride and some driving experience for a recent boat handling course graduate. It calmed down after lunch but by then we had decided on an early journey home and beat the Bank Holiday Traffic.
